Hello, hello! I hope each and every one of you had an incredible holiday weekend. I know we sure did! I am so excited to share today's blog post about our Memorial Day Weekend trip up to Lake Chelan. I've posted some super fun pictures and also a couple reviews! One is on the rental we stayed at and the other is on a delicious restaurants we ate at! (Both are 5 STARS!) Get ready! To bring you all up to speed, for the past 3 years a bunch of my college friends and I have gotten together during Memorial Weekend. Almost everyone either lives in the Seattle or Spokane area, so they all love coming over to Chelan to hit up the lake. This was our second year renting the house/cabana that we stayed at. The house is right between Chelan & Manson and basically right on the water, it is so dreamy! The weather FINALLY cooperated this year too, and was 85+ degrees all weekend long! It was amazing. We actually were able to get in the water this year and not freeze to death. Yay! And most importantly we were able to TAN. Double yay! :)
For those who have not been to Lake Chelan before I absolutely recommend planning a trip. It is one of the most beautiful lakes in Washington State and has a ton of fun tourist attractions, such as: wine tasting, parasailing, jet skiing. boating, water slides, sky diving, zip lining, hiking, camping, fishing, & water skiing. The list goes on and on, I know I've probably forgotten a bunch others. There are tons of different restaurants and cute little shops, too. It's the perfect town for a nice little getaway. The rental we stayed at is absolutely perfect for large groups. It comes with a house across the road from the water and then a cabana with a deck that is RIGHT ON THE WATER! It is fully stocked with all kitchen, laundry, BBQing & sleeping amenities. You have a decent sized lawn area for games and a gorgeous wrap around deck that has the best views of the lake. The house sleeps 10 inside and the cabana sleeps another 4. In the cabana you will find another kitchen and bathroom! The deck is very spacious and comes with lounge chairs, a boat lift, and a separate grill for BBQing. Jody, the owner, is so accommodating and just the nicest, sweetest lady! She responds so fast to things, we never had any issues. We mainly hung around the house and cabana for the majority of the trip. There was no reason to leave! On our last night in town we all got dressed up and went out for dinner to Tin Lilly. This place is DE-LISH! I think for the most part everyone ordered something different and all gave two thumbs up! It is a semi-laid back atmosphere and was able to accommodate our large group. They also have a dance floor outside that they set up at night on busy weekends with string lights and a DJ! I ordered the Gringo Burger and a Lemon Drop. Both were so yummy! My glass didn't have a drop left & my plate got licked clean! I highly recommend this place if your looking to get some good food with some great people! We went in when they weren't super busy, so I'm not sure how the customer service is when they get swamped but I had no complaints on service! You can check them out on TripAdvisor here!
Since most of us are out of school we don't all see each other as often as we used to, so being able to spend an entire weekend together is something we look forward to each year. This group is just so much fun and the greatest group of people. We always have the best time together and I truly love everyone! I am so thankful to call each one of them great friends and look forward to many more Memorial Weekend Chelanigans! Yesterday & today we all have been talking how depressed we are that the weekend is over :( It seriously FLEW BY! I want to trade in this office chair for a lawn chair right now! When Jeremy and I got home yesterday though I instantly started uploading my pictures so I could relive the weekend one last time before kissing it goodbye.
