Deep down, I think everyone's favorite season is Fall. Summer is great and all, but you're limited with the heat. Spring is alright, but still cold and wet. And don't even joke around with Winter. That's the worst season of all! Well, besides Christmas and New Years of course ;) But really, there are a million things you just can't do in the other seasons. For example, drinking a pumpkin spice latte in the spring just isn't right. You're a little late trying to pull that off. Thinking about making a yummy stew in the middle of 90 degree weather? Nope, think again. And you most certainly can't visit a pumpkin patch when there is snow on the ground! So, yep. I think I've proved my point here. Fall wins, hands down!
This weekend was like, the most fall-iest of fall weekends. On Saturday, I went up to Ellensburg with my bestie Annie and Darriean and we went to the Junk-Tiquen in the Berg, which is a HUGE vintage show. They have one in April with spring stuff and then one in October with all things fall and Christmas! If you ever get the chance to go, do it. You can get so many great deals on crafts, or just old antiques that make great decor or gifts! There are tons of vendors, so there is lots to go through :) I have some fun DIY and crafts that I'm going to be sharing with some of the stuff that I got. After that, Annie and I were feeling extra crafty, so we went to Hobby Lobby and got stuff for our projects. Have I ever said how much I LOVE Hobby Lobby? No? Well, it's a lot. Like, a lot a lot. To wrap up the rest of the day, I went and saw my sweet Mama, Justin and I started on some of the crafts, and then we headed up to my mother in laws for delicious lasagna and Hocus Pocus.
On Sunday, we headed out to the local pumpkin patch in town. It was the last day it was going on, so there wasn't a TON of pumpkins, but we still got the best ones ;) If you saw my Instagram story you saw how windy it was haha. It was still very fun. We then headed up to Wenatchee and got our Halloween costumes! I am SO excited for my costume this year. No telling what it is ;) you will just have to wait and see tomorrow. But I promise it's awesome. The rest of our Sunday was spent carving our pumpkins and watching more Halloween movies. This was Justin's first time ever carving a pumpkin and he did so good! His hand might have cramped in the beginning while cleaning out his pumpkin, haha but he got it done! Justin's is the ghost one, Jeremy's is the one that says "Hocus Pocus", mine is the one with the pumpkins :)
Tonight I am going to be whipping up some more yummy treats and recipes for our little Halloween get together tomorrow night. I have these scrumptious pumpkin cupcake things that are like mini pumpkin-pies. So good! Can't wait to share those on the blog ;) I also have some really exciting stuff to share with you all later this week, so stay tuned!
Also, this may be a little premature...buuuuuuut if you haven't listened to Leslie Odom Jr.'s "Simply Christmas" album, YOU NEED TO. Been listening to it all morning. Yes, I know this is a fall post, but please, no judgement. It's amazing and will be my go-to this year. Who's with me that it is never too early to start listening to Christmas music? :) Hope you all are having a fab Monday!
xo,
